Today is a new day. The sunrise was spectacular. I grabbed a cup of coffee and sat to watch the colors fade from a bright pink to orange and yellow. It's in these moments I realize how magnificent God is and how He has everything under control.
It's easy to say this before the day begins and my mind gets crowded with the chaos of the day. So many things come as a distraction: money for study abroad, plane tickets, school work, training for work, relationships, family, moving out next year...we all have things to think and worry about. But, that's not what we are made to do.
We are made to glorify God in everything we do. Amazing how distracted we can get (I can get).
My dad gave me a great reminder of God's promises.
So easy to forget the God who makes the sun rise and set is the same God who knows my thoughts. Who cares about my struggles. Who loves me deeply. In awe this morning as I ponder His goodness.
Update on the trip: Scheduling a round-trip ticket to London. I know, I know, still haven't scheduled it. I thought waiting might give me a better price, but now it's come down to the recommended 40 day mark to buy tickets. Time to just do it. Feeling encouraged by my family praying for me. God will provide. It's all in His timing.
