Day 18: Revived and Recovering

Not going to lie, it was hard to get up this morning. My body demanded more sleep. However, I made it my goal to go to the pharmacy to see if they could diagnose my sickness. The lady there suggested throat spray. I wasn't too keen on her idea because that's treating the symptom instead of the actual sickness. By around 2pm, my fever finally broke after another nap. Feeling motivated to get air outside of my room I hopped a bus. I found myself at a park.

Burgess Park

It was the perfect place for fresh air and a small stroll. My body needed it even though it asked for more hours of rest. That's one part of London I'll miss. Anywhere you go you can find a green space and a place to relax.

Burgess Park

Found some ducks too! Birds of all types flocked to this park.

In the typical English fashion, I ended my day by treating myself (and throat) to a cup of tea.

I want to say a quick thanks to everyone who sent their prayers and concerns my way. I feel encouraged by everyone who reached out. Thank you for caring! Today was a better day. I pushed myself to get out and get up. My grandpa was the type of person who didn't wait for life to get better. He simply moved on and stayed positive. So, that's what I intend to do with the rest of this trip (and life). 19 more days to appreciate being here in Europe.
