Instead of sitting in our stuffy classroom for two and a half hours we toured Ticketmaster. They gave us the rundown on the logistics of buying and selling tickets. Their job is to book a full house when artists perform. Often under high pressure. One artist, Kanye West, called them up and said he wanted to perform that night. Ticketmaster had to find a place available and approved by Kanye. Then, they had to publish the concert and sell all of the tickets. A huge job to accomplish in a few short hours.
Although Fridays (ticket selling day) can get crazy, they know how to relax afterwards. The supervisor said he often treats his team to a round of beer and then sends them home. Their work environment aids in creativity and relaxation. The entrance includes a slide leading down to the lower floor with a jukebox and in-house bar.
If Ticketmaster wasn't fun enough, I got to venture to Primrose Hill as the sun set. A spectacular view of the city.
As the sun set, I felt my day concluding with a feeling of peace. Thankful for today and having time to think. I can't believe it's already day 20 here. Time is flying by!
