Hi, my name is Meagan. I like my ability to overcome obstacles.
I have been dancing since I was five. In high school, I got some head injuries from it. It’s really hard for me. The thing that I love (dancing) is the thing that has affected me the most. My concussions really affect the way my brain works and my daily life. I’m very scatter brained and not as articulate as I would like to be. Sometimes I really feel like a failure or I feel different than other people.
I’ve realized there is a reason behind my struggles and I don’t have to deal with it on my own. It took a lot of hard work to get where I am now. I really had to push myself and not let my head trauma define me as a person. I can achieve just as much as anyone else. I just have to put in a little more effort. I’m okay with that because I’m really motivated and excited for the future. I really have a lot of goals for myself. I really want to make a difference in the world.
